Some things have been happening in my professional life that have me taking stock of what I'm doing and where I'm going. I figured a "current projects" post was in order:
A Stop Along the Way
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2ModulesEnglish.Detail&id=298
Originally started as a short adventure module for Carlo's DM101 module, this grew into a full-fledged project that can stand on its own. I've gotten a few requests to put in the scripting to make this playable without a DM, which is something I want to do. Reception has been pretty slow, but that's not much of a surprise considering the state of multiplayer in NWN2. Hopefully patch 1.13 will continue to generate momentum and people will start to pick this one up.
Halloween 2008

I've got a vague concept for a sort of Monster Mash Murder Mystery party, but little time to do it. Mid-October is fast approaching. Hopefully once work calms down I can jump back in. Look for more on that in future posts.
Waterdeep - DMFI + FRW Prefab
http://nwcitadel.forgottenrealmsweave.org/forumdisplay.php?f=111
This project was started almost two year ago and has various states of stalling out and coming back. We're actually very close to a release, however. Originally designed as a way to bring together a number of builders to construct an extensible prefab of the city of Waterdeep, this now consists of three robust sections of the city, complete with markets, landmarks, inns and residences. I just posted some recent screen shots and you can see more images of Waterdeep at wendersnaven.
The Personal Reputation and Reaction System
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Scripts.Detail&id=84909&id=168
This is a system I brought over from NWN1 to help builders when managing factions and reactions. I've actually got a new version that incorporates charm spells that I want to release, but I ran into a minor issue and ended up putting it down for a while. Also, there wasn't quite as much interest from the community, so I decided to focus on other projects. The example module that I created is about a third of the way done, and I really liked some of the things I was doing there. Hopefully I'll come back to that at some point.
The "Portrait of the Damned" Campaign
This is a project that has been in the back of my mind for a while now. When NWN2 first came out, I wanted to get a group of my friends together and try to run a DM'ed campaign. So far there's been a lot of waiting for the game to be ready for multiplayer, which has admittedly been frustrating. Now that my friends and I are playing through the OC, it's time to get moving on this. The first thing to do is release Waterdeep, which will be the basis of this campaign. From there I need to bang out a set of initial sidequests and the first few plot points. Hopefully more will come in the future.
Saga of the Kade Stone
http://nwcitadel.forgottenrealmsweave.org/showthread.php?t=839
This campaign of single or multiplayer modules was going to be my first project for NWN2. SKS01 got some high marks in testing from Phoenixus and others, but we uncovered some design flaws that sent me back into development. I put it down when some of these other project and chances to work with other members of the community came up. You can see some screenshots of SKS01 over at wendersnaven.
I've also been trying to keep up with the occasional bit of info over at wendersnaven.com and recently I've been putting in a few hours here and there for Venture working on his site nwncampaigns.com.
As a weekend-warrior-type of developer, I have to be very careful about what I spend my time on. I have limited time to spend on NWN2 and as we all know some things can really eat away the hours. Tracking down a problematic script can take the whole weekend and effectively push me back a week or more.
Still, I'm optimistic that some of these projects can be wrapped up soon!
